The group design, build, deliver and manage aquariums globally, including Hong Kong, APAC, US, Europe, Middle East and Africa.

Job Description

Sanderia Group is currently looking for a Maintenance & Commissioning Manager within its English-speaking office in Dubai. Sanderia builds aquariums which range in size from 2m x 2m x 1m, up to much larger commercial aquariums.

The Maintenance & Commissioning Manager oversees the installation of large aquariums in UAE and across the GCC region. You will work under our off-site project management team and manage all on-site labour and installation.

You will need to be flexible and often 'hands on', sometimes working alone to install an aquarium and other times managing teams of up to 20 people depending on the size of the job.

The Maintenance & Commissioning Manager will need to oversee all of the installation process and will need a basic understanding of the following areas:

Maintenance & Commissioning – Oversee equipment and plumbing installations and complete final set up, testing & commissioning ahead of livestock and handover to client

Cranage and heavy lifting - Oversee each aquarium being moved into its installation location

Pipework, plumbing and HVAC - The aquariums filtration systems are generally plumbed and commissioned on site

Electrical - The aquarium equipment and lighting system will need to be fully installed and commissioned on site

Planning / Manpower Allocation - At times you may need to manage multiple simultaneous job sites and allocate resources accordingly

Other requirements:

• Good spoken and written English

• 5+ years’ experience in job roles which deal with plumbing and electrical services

• Ability to read, understand and follow technical drawings

• Demonstrable experience managing a team

• Ability to independently oversee a construction site

• Ensure health and safety measures are strictly followed at the site

• Prepared to travel and work on projects outside of the UAE

• Well presented, able to be client facing and handle client queries in person

• Good interpersonal skills and capability to work with all levels of people

• Good team player, self-motivated, independent, responsible and well-organised

• Knowledge of project management tools (eg. Asana, Trello, Basecamp or similar) would be advantageous

• Valid driving license highly desirable

Salary: AED8,000.00 – AED14,000.00 per month
