Project Description

The Oceanographic is the largest public aquarium in Europe occupying a net floor space of 110,000 square meters. In 2016 RedFin was commissioned to design and construct a total of 25 specialist jellyfish aquariums for an exciting new jellyfish exhibit. The tanks included both public display tanks and commercial tanks for the back of house facility.

The display tanks include two 3 meter by 2 meter stretched kreisels and three cylinders measuring 1.5 meters in diameter by 2 meters high.

The new jellyfish exhibit area successfully opened in April 2017
